A First-Timer’s Guide to Halal Dining in Brighton

23 September 2026

New to Halal Food Brighton, or new to eating halal in Brighton? Here’s how to get the most out of the site, roughly in the order it’s most useful.

Start with what matters to you

Every restaurant here is tagged “Fully halal” or “Halal meat”; the difference matters, and it’s worth reading our explainer on what each one means before you filter by it.

Browse and filter on All Restaurants

The All Restaurants page lists everything we’ve verified, with filters for halal status, cuisine, price and area, plus a search box and sort options. The counts next to each filter are real, they only ever show what’s actually been published.

Find something near you right now

If you want somewhere close by rather than browsing the whole directory, the Near You page uses your location, postcode or area name you type in, to sort restaurants by real distance, with a map and a radius filter.

Double-check opening hours before you go

We show an “open now” indicator based on each restaurant’s listed hours, but hours can change, especially around holidays, so it’s always worth a quick check with the restaurant directly if you’re making a special trip.

Any vegetarians joining your party?

We also have a handy ‘vegetarian’ filter on every restaurant, so if you have any vegetarian friend or family joining you for a bite to eat, you can consult friendly options.
